Destinations & Our Alumni
The impact of the quality of education that TSFA students receive can be seen in the destinations data, which is well above national average.
- 91% of last year’s cohort are in employment, further education, higher education or training.
- In 2023, every student who applied to University was offered a place. Although University uptake has been stable for the past 2 years, less emphasis is being placed solely on progression to HE, with the creation of better apprenticeships and the links TSFA is creating with local businesses.
- Since 2017 there have been 9 students who have gone on to study at Oxford or Cambridge and 3 students who have gone on to study Medicine.

After gaining my A levels in History, French and English Literature and leaving 6th form, I went to study law at St John’s College, University of Cambridge. Having joined in 2019, I am just completing my first year and I’ve really enjoyed it.
Joely Knight
I attended Trinity Academy Halifax sixth form from 2015-2017. I studied art, photography and health and social care. Health and social care created the foundations for my career. I am employed at a local hospital Trust as a Trainee Nursing Associate, and funded to study the foundation degree at University. I hope many others can be inspired to work in the healthcare sector, as it is the most rewarding job ever!
