Careers Programme

Trinity Aspire

The purpose of our careers programme is to make sure that students leave us prepared for the next step on their journey, whether that is to higher education or employment. We aim to raise aspirations and promote social mobility, ensuring that all students have access to the best opportunities.

We aim to provide excellent quality, neutral information and guidance to all of our students to allow us to provide them with the best possible foundations to start their future. We aim to offer specialised advice concerning a number of pathways available to students after sixthform including university, apprenticeships, and employment.

The programme provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to be life ready learners and achieve in the wider world. We are actively working to meet all eight of the Gatsby Benchmarks (see below) by the end 2020, with many of the benchmarks already being achieved.

  1. A stable career programme
  2. Learning from career and labour market information
  3. Addressing the needs of all pupils
  4. Linking curriculum learning to careers
  5. Encounters with employers and employees
  6. Experience of workplaces
  7. Encounters with further and higher education
  8. Personal guidance

At the end of the last academic year we were delighted to be awarded the Quality in Careers Standard, receiving full accreditation as we met all eight Gatsby benchmarks.
