Careers Programme
Trinity Aspire
The purpose of our Aspirations Programme is to make sure that students leave us prepared for the next step of their journey, whether that is to higher education, an apprenticeship or employment. All students are invited to attend personal guidance meetings with our level 6 qualified Careers Adviser, Laura Wright. Current students can access support from any member of the aspirations or PPT teams, including requesting additional personal guidance meetings through their college email. Parents and carers can access support on behalf of their young person by contacting the college directly.
We aim to provide excellent quality, neutral information and guidance to all of our students to provide them with the best possible foundations to start their future. We offer specialised advice concerning a number of pathways available to students after sixth form including university, apprenticeships and employment.
The programme provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to be life ready learners and achieve in the wider world. In 2024 we were awarded the Quality in Careers Standard receiving full accreditation as we met all eight of the Gatsby Benchmarks (see below).
- A stable careers programme
- Learning from career and labour market information
- Addressing the needs of all pupils
- Linking curriculum learning to careers
- Encounters with employers and employees
- Experience of workplaces
- Encounters with further and higher education
- Personal guidance
We continue to measure the impact of our Aspirations Programme using Compass, which assesses our offering against the above benchmarks.
